Desk/work
space organization
(Part-1)
Hey guys! Welcome or welcome back to my blogging webpage! I am
your only bloggy-blogist-blogger…do you remember that from our 2nd
blog?? Haha.
Now for the fun part…try answering this riddle, “Would you
rather, stay in an empty house for your whole life or work on the messiest desk
in the world??
If I were to choose, I would choose to work on the messiest desk
in the world…like who? Who in the world would choose to live in an empty house?
Duh!
Here is my plan, after choosing for
the desk I would clean it! Did u even think of that? Haha if not, then you have
to do it now! Now is the time… You might be sitting on your couch thinking that
would I even do that? [Of-course not!]
But after reading this, you might as
well! This is what I have to say, in these days you’re not allowed to go out to
your real workspace (i.e. wherever you work) then you are obviously working
from home and at home we saturate out comfort level too much! Like you can take
reference of the whatsapp memes that come in every other group…we criticize
them but they are true in real life.
The saturation of our comfort level
leads us to leniency in work and also laziness throughout the day. To prevent
that, we should sit in space which has no or minimal distractions and lead us
to more focused and productive effort. So, today I have for you “desk and
workspace organization”.
Let’s start the blog without further
ado. In today’s blog, I will only be addressing the people who don’t work on a
desk or don’t have one!
- Choose
a spot in your house that does not have any background noises like honking cars
or falling plates/cooking food.
- The
place you choose should have an electric socket nearby.
- Try
using headphones/earphones.
- If
you choose to sit on your bed or your sofa, bring 2-3 pillows and put them
above each other. Then, place a big hardbound book on top like an atlas, etc. for
support
- Remember
the space should have enough ventilation and lighting.
- Keep
a bottle of water, some dry snacks and a towel with you.
- One
most important thing, if you constantly keep on getting up between work for
fetching things or washing hands then, you might lose your focus. Keep all the
needed stuff ready with you 5 minutes before your meeting and keep a bottle of
sanitizer nearby.
- Try
to keep your phone away to avoid distractions and rather open “WhatsApp Web” on
your PC for any important messages. To avoid notifications on PC mute the
sound for WhatsApp.

- Prefer
keeping a straight posture rather than bending your neck.
One
more thing, before ending, I asked you guys to guess today’s topic in the hangouts
official chat group! So this week’s shoutout goes to Simple mausi for correctly
guessing the topic!
I
think that this is it for today! Thanks for taking out your precious time in
reading my blog all the way through…see you in my next one!! Bye-Bye…
Thanks!
Thanks!
I, Isha am officially signing off for this
